Deco Stahliby ~erica-marie-designs

Here is my contribution to the current Blue Stahli/Celldweller contest. I was assigned Art Deco (Erte) as my style. I freaking love Erte's work. I wanted it to be elegant in its simplicity.

Originally, he was holding an anatomically correct heart, but I couldn't make it abstract enough without it looking like a strange pink blob. Thus, the floating heart of gold took its place.

(note to the lovely mods: please exclude me from judging/consideration for prizes - I'm just participating for the fun of it.

Thanks a lot! I was worried about the pink and blue combination initially, but I think I toned them down enough so the colour scheme isn`t *outrageously* girly.

Love the detail/textures you've crammed in despite the simplistic design overall (I haven't a clue about what Art Deco is

Thank you very much! Along with Art Nouveau, Art Deco is one of my absolute favourite styles. So classy - and as the name would suggest - so many decorative details.
